UCAS

As a student at Westminster Kingsway College, we will provide you with a "buzzword" for you to link your UCAS application with the college when you register your account.

To obtain your buzzword, email careers@westking.ac.uk with your student ID number and we will send this to you.

Key steps

  1. Visit ucas.com , go to 'Sign in' and select 'Students'

  2. Go to 2024 entry and click 'Create your account'

  3. Under 'Register', add in your personal email address, your name, and create a memorable password

  4. Input the verification code and click 'Submit'

  5. Link your application to the college with the buzzword (ask your tutor or contact the careers team for this), click 'Save buzzword' 

  6. 'Select group'- choose your tutor group 

  7. Complete all the various tiles/sections 

  8. Research courses on UCAS and look at opendays.com

  9. Add your course choices (you can choose up to five)

  10. Speak with your tutor about your application, predicted grades and content for their reference

  11. Write your Personal Statement and upload to your application (ask your tutor, family, an adviser to check)

  12. Pay the fee and inform your tutor that your form is ready for their reference* then click 'Send'

  13. Your tutor will then check and authorise your form, and add your reference

  14. College will submit your application to UCAS

*Make sure you complete the form by the deadline
