Big Voice London (BVL) offer great law programmes aimed at Year 12 & 13 students studying A levels at schools and colleges in London.
BVL provide selected students with real insights into law, the chance to give presentations and meet legal professionals.
They currently have 3 excellent Law mentoring and work experience projects which have recruitment deadlines in September!
The projects are all listed below -
3 months law mentoring project September to January - students discuss/debate ideas for law reform in groups.
It starts with an in-person weekend conference in London, then regular virtual zoom meetings and finally student presentations to The Law Commission.
This is their main programme with an early deadline - apply by Friday 6th September.
BVL is formally partnering with media law barristers' chambers, 5RB, to offer our students two exciting opportunities:
1. A virtual media law insight evening, open to students across England and Wales.
2. In person work experience for two students.
To be eligible to apply for a work experience placement, you must first attend the insight evening.
The insight evening will run one evening on a date to be confirmed in October 2024.
The deadline for applications is 7pm on Friday 20th September 2024.
Are you interested in learning more about a career at a law and consultancy firm specialising in privacy, reputation management and security?
If yes, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!
The programme aims to provide young people with an insight into the work of the Schillings team and will include workshops on:
1. an introduction to Schillings;
2. the work of one of three teams, depending on your area of interest;
a. the Schillings legal team.
b. the Schillings critical risk, intelligence & investigations and cyber teams.
c. the Schillings marketing, business development, human resources, accounting, finance, IT, and compliance teams.
3. plus a careers workshop on CV writing, interview skills and personal branding!
The 2024 programme will run in person in Schillings' offices in London on:
Tuesday 29th October, 1 to 5:30pm Wednesday 30th October, 1 to 5:30pm
The deadline for applications is 7pm on Wednesday 18th September 2024.
