Sony Games Academy 2025 - Games Design


ARE YOU A LEVEL 3 CREATIVE LEARNER INTERESTED IN GAME DESIGN?


University of Westminster are working with SONY to run the SONY GAMES Academy 2025.

Experience a university setting, work with industry professionals and expand your skillset.


The programme takes place over nine Saturday’s from January to March and allows you to get involved in these and many more!


  • Real Game Development: Build a publishable game demo for PC or Android, experiencing every phase of game creation, from design to deployment - an invaluable skillset for tech and gaming careers.

  • Mentoring from Industry Pros: Collaborate with industry experts and University staff, receiving career guidance and personalised feedback.

  • Training on Industry Tools: Gain hands-on experience with professional software like Unity 3D and Maya, giving you skills that top studios value.


The Academy is FREE to attend, but attendees are expected to attend all sessions. Food will be provided and travel paid for. Open to all Level 3 students the SONY Games Academy is sponsored in partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) to support more Black and Mixed Black ethnic and female students to enter the entertainment, technology, and games industry.


The Academy begins with an online intro session on Monday 13 January from 5-6pm.  All other sessions run on Saturday between 10am - 2.30pm from Saturday 18th January to Saturday 29th March.
